Reflection:

Background story:
"No matter how small an individual is, it has its own brand." This is the slogan of WeChat's mini-program(something analogous to APP). That means that the service they provide can be used by everyone.

However, I have a friend working in a Bytedance(which owns TikTok for now) subsidiary company. They want to develop an online education product and use WeChat's mini-program as a medium tool. In order to do that, they have to keep their relationship with Bytedance far away from being discovered. Once discovered, their mini-program will soon be banned by WeChat.

At the same time, there are some similar examples such as Taobao(Alibaba's e-commerce website). You can't share anything from Taobao into WeChat because WeChat blocks it. WeChat use this kind of strategy to prevent the development of other companies. However, when we look at the bigger company, for example, Google has youtube while apple also has Apple TV. Apple's app store will not consider banning Youtube at all.

I think that when WeChat is blocking other companies' services in its own app, it not only inhibits the development of other companies but also inhibits the win-win possibility of Chinese domestic companies. Moreover, it also dampens the user experience of its own products. "No matter how small an individual has his own brand", the meaning behind it is that you won't be able to use it because you are already a big brand.

Idea behind the p5 sketch:
This is mimicking the coding registration form for the Tencent mini-program. Once you have entered company names such as "ByteDance" or "Alibaba", you will immediately get banned.
